Softly, softly, catchy monkey

Updated: Aug 6, 2022

Hello and welcome to my FIRST blog post!

Now, what does one include in one's first blog post?

  • Information

  • News

  • Fascinating facts

  • Current topics

  • Background on me

  • Include blog posts that inspire/helped you

  • Write a review

  • Write an open letter

  • Create a guide to something you are knowledgeable about (do crisps count?)

I could go on.

Having spent half the day trawling the wonderful internet I found so many blog advice sites that perhaps a list of those could be added to my list?

..... or not.

Whilst I am sure the advice is sound and helpful - after all, they must be successful because I found their blog? - I have a life - albeit a quiet one - I will get around to reading some, perhaps one a day as a little bedtime reading (I'm sure Steve Coleman, my current bedtime reading, won't mind). In the meantime I'm going to introduce myself and just put it out there and see what happens!

Hi, I'm Tina and I'm a massage therapist.

........I'm a bad-ass massage therapist.

I have been manipulating people since 2003 and have no plans to stop soon.

As a habitual learner (I have an overriding need to get qualifications and certificates - probably something to do with the fact I was entered for 10 'O' levels (yes, I'm that old) and only passed one because I didn't think I needed to revise and also the Biology book (the one I passed, with an 'A') was the only one that would fit on my sun lounger and not flop closed.), I digress, as a habitual learner, I have attended many courses and done numerous distance learning courses including:

  • Myofacial Release Therapy

  • Lymphatic Drainage Techniques

  • First Aid for Therapists (useful)

  • Meditation Teacher

  • Crystal Healing

  • Crystal Reiki

  • Usui Reiki

  • Five element Seichem Reiki

  • Chakra Balancing

  • Nutrition

  • Sports Nutrition

  • Life Coaching

  • Mindfulness

  • Hot Stone Therapy

  • Thai Foot Massage

  • Pregnancy Massage

.......ok, I'm bored now, but I guess you get the picture - I love learning (if only my old teachers knew!!!)

I live in Pewsey, in Wiltshire, UK but I am from Cornwall and will always be Cornish!

Now THAT is a pasty!

I have three wonderful children, unfortunately two live abroad but I have hidden the passport of the third to keep him here.

Ok, first blog done, hopefully someone will read it - any tips or suggestions appreciated - live well xx
