COVID-19

I hope that you are well?  You will be aware that Massage Services are now allowed to continue and I am therefore taking bookings.

The information below is just a recap of current legislation and hopefully will answer any questions you may have.

While I am very excited to be able to support you in person again, it is only natural that you might have one or two concerns about resuming close contact with someone outside of your household.

 

As such, I would like to start by letting you know some of the measures I have put in place to help protect your health and wellbeing at this time:

 

• I am following guidelines issued by the government, NHS and my professional association, the Federation of Holistic Therapists, regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any personal protective equipment (PPE).

 

• I have carried out a full risk assessment of my therapy business to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

• I have completed a certified infection control course and introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures to my practice, together with purchasing an air purifier with HPE filter so that even during your visit the air will be getting purified.

 

• I will be closely monitoring my own health, and that of my clients, to ensure neither party is put at risk of contracting COVID-19.

(I contracted COVID in January 2021 and have had both my COVID jabs, just in case you are interested!)

 

Before your next visit, I will be sending out a screening form.  Please fill this in as it is super important!

 

Please do not book in if you or anyone you know has tested positive for Covid19 in the previous 2 weeks before your appointment or if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • A new and continuous cough

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • A persistent high fever.

The rules for treatment rooms are unchanged from the last release from Lockdown :-

 

  • No soft furnishings are allowed which cannot be disinfected

  • No extra comfort on the couch like my 3” memory foam mattress

  • Everything on the couch has to be replaced after each client to avoid the risk of passing on COVID19 – so three towels on the couch, two used for cover-ups and one for a head pillow = 5 towels per client

  •  that’s a lot of laundry!

Although no longer compulsory, I will continue to wear a face mask and will leave it up to you if you also wish to continue to do so.  Treatment times are not, at present, to be extended over 60 minutes.  New consultations are to be performed by telephone/email beforehand and a COVID19 declaration is to be completed before each treatment, again by email or telephone. 

New Opening Times

 

Since going into Lockdown in December 2020, life has taken a slightly different direction and as a result, my opening times have changed.  Evening appointments are now covered by Tom Watson working as The Therapy Room.

Tom qualified last year and, even though he is my son, I am not being biased when I say he is an excellent therapist!!

My new hours are:

Monday                   closed

Tuesday                    10:30 am –  4:30 pm

Wednesday              10:30 am –  4:30 pm

Thursday                   closed

Friday                      10:30 pm –  4:30 pm

Saturday                  10:30 am – 1pm

Sunday                     closed  

Treatment times and prices are:

30 minutes              £30

45 minutes              £40

60 minutes              £50
