You may be wondering what is a Holistic Bodyworker?
Holistic is a term used to describe therapies that attempt to treat the person as a whole person, a general term for therapeutic methods that centre on the body for the promotion of physical health and emotional and spiritual well-being.
Bodywork includes massage, various systems of touch and manipulation, relaxation techniques, and practices designed to affect the body's energy flow.
I have been a fully qualified and insured sports and therapeutic massage therapist since 2004 but am interested in you as a person, not just a body!
"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."
- Lao Tzu
Fusion Massage is coined from a phrase used by
The Jing Institute of Advanced Massage
where I recently completed some training.
These people seriously changed my way of looking at massage.
I have been qualified for over 15 years and have always advertised myself as a 'Sports Therapist' or 'Remedial Massage Therapist' because I thought it made me sound serious about my work - which believe me, I am - but these guys showed me it is ok to include some of the Eastern influences I am interested in into what I do.
So if you come to me in pain I will call upon my knowledge of traditional sports and swedish massage with myofascial and trigger point work, perhaps hot stones and a little Shiatsu thrown in.
The end result is to get you out of pain and on the way to feeling yourself again.
My way of working is intuitive; I do not use routines but work in the best way to treat what I have been presented with.
I do not however claim to be able to cure you in one go - if it feels better after one visit then wonderful but the chances are we will see each other a few times and then for maintenance - much like servicing your car!

Reiki - 45 mins
Reiki (universal life energy) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing, bringing you into a state of balance.
A complete Reiki session is offered to you fully clothed, with you lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably supported in a chair.
Most commonly, Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands will never be intrusive or inappropriate, nor should there be any pressure.
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
